ISO 45001:2018

The management of Health and Safety is becoming a growing concern in Hungary.

Combined with the poor publicity and subsequent loss of reputation arising from incidents, it makes good sense to establish a safety management system.

What is ISO 45001:2018?

ISO 45001:2018 is intended to help businesses control occupational health and safety risks. It was developed in response to a widespread demand for a recognised standard and falls neatly in line with the ISO 14001 standard. It is a framework that allows a business to consistently identify and control its health and safety risks, reduce the potential for accidents, assures complyment with legislative requirements and improve overall performance.

What are the benefits of having ISO 45001:2018?

  • A reduced risk of accidents and therefore lower staff absence.
  • Reduced risk of citations and penalties.
  • Improved operational performance through policies and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with health and safety legislation and regulations.
  • Reduced Insurance premiums.
  • Improved corporate image.
  • A positive reputation and Health and Safety track record.
  • Increased staff awareness of Health and Safety.

ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 9001:2015

ISO 45001:2018 Standard works on the same principle as the ISO standards, ISO 9001:2015 (quality management) and ISO14001:2015 (environment), and can now be aligned more effectively with them. When a business already has ISO 9001:2015 in place, achieving ISO 45001:2018 becomes much simpler.
